Watercolors anyone?

Isn’t this just a beautifully simple card? (Created by Lisa Stenz)  Stamped images that are then just colored with watercolors!

I have little watercolor “pans” leftover from when my children were younger where I wanted to teach them and have them use watercolors but I just never mastered it. Now the trend among so many crafters is to incorporate watercolor techniques that I am once more drawn to wanting to use them.  Here’s a brushed effect behind a layout (by CraftyCarol)  then behind a card (by Gina Bradstetter). The balloon is also a brushed effect then stamped image over top, so clever!

    

Close To My Heart has added watercolor paints, papers and brushes (with more to come) and, true to the nature of this wonderful company, they are “showing us how” to use them – watch the video I posted below, very short and informative.

Looking at all these beautiful projects makes me want to try it out so that’s what I will be doing this Sunday afternoon. I am thankful to God for His creation, such wonderful hues and blends. Hopefully I will have some to show you soon 🙂
