Making memories with you! ~Debbie~
Let’s use technology and make our life a little easier, right? Crafting with friends is such a fun activity but we have so many things to do and places to be that scheduling time to go one more place, even for fun can be hard. Well, by using technology now we can craft “virtually!” I have decided to try my hand at an online Facebook Party to teach and make cards with you. 🙂
For those that could not make the Card Buffet, I will be sharing those very same cards. Join my “Card Buffet Facebook Party” event (even in your favorite jammies if you want) and let’s craft, learn techniques, share and laugh together using the capabilities of Facebook! I’ve got the party set up for this coming Monday, Sept. 26, from 8-10pm. By joining the event, you can come and go as you need to even after the party is over since using FB also allows you to go back and view the discussion posts and photos
If you are local, you can come by and pick up a sample card kit that includes 2 of the cards shown plus two of the 3×3 card bases, with pre-stamped images. Contact me to let me know which cards you would like to make from the four regular sized ones in the photo below. I will try to use Facebook Live to stream and share how the all cards are put together. Use your own supplies to make similar cards. There will be games with prizes and a raffle for a grand prize as well! I will showcase some of the new products using the online Close To My Heart Idea Books and show you some of the things you can create with them. Feel free to invite more friends to come along and join the fun!
You will find the link on my Facebook page (on the left sidebar) or this direct link. There I will be posting more info before the party as well. Hope to “see” you there!

I am so excited to host a card “event” of any kind – it’s been too long! You will have a chance to make 2 cards for free and then make extras for $2. I’ve planned at least 6 styles, utilizing different stamps, papers, techniques, but all easily accomplished! Yes, I will have the Create Kindness kit to show you PLUS you get to make some of those if you wish. I’ll have new products to show, extra copies of the new Holiday Expressions Idea Book, and so much more. You can drop by any time from 10 am – 7 pm, even if just to take a peek. RSVP is not required but if you can give me a heads up that would be nice. You can text or call me at (321)428-1386.
I will be using the Stamp of the Month, “Blessed Beyond Measure,” in one of the cards – such a wonderful set of sentiments on this one. Since I’ve posted these sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram so let me put them here, too.
I was coloring these images while waiting for one of my daughter’s volleyball games to start 🙂
These are so easy and fun to color in with the ShinHan alcohol markers. Then I added some glittery effects by using the new Shimmer Brush! Hope to see you and share these with you in person.
Making memories with you,
Do you remember that old Glenn Campbell song? Seems like one of the best things we can do for someone is just to be kind to them, doesn’t it? Cards with a little note have a way of lifting up our spirits. It happened to me just a week ago! After directing my children’s choirs annual program, I was tired and a little down, low attendance after so much work, etc. That very day I received a note from a church member telling how much it meant to her and thanking the children and adults for putting it together – just a short note but oh, so welcome! We need to send each other some more of those encouraging notes!
Cards are what I have always loved to make, rather than buying, and I love stamping and embellishing. SO guess what? This month Close To My Heart is celebrating National Stamping Month with a “Create Kindness” kit to make 3×3 cards and encourage others – isn’t that so timely? 🙂
I ordered my kit and let me share some pictures of it with you. The kit is one of the all-inclusive kind including an organizer box to hold it all together! It has 8 of our mini sized (M) stamps, 4 with sentiments and four with images & words so you can mix and match. The stamps fit on the included 2″x 2″ My Acrylix block and stamping is easy with a mini size archival black ink pad, Lastly, the kit includes 24 card bases and envelopes plus little pre-cut circles to stamp an image. Of course, you can use the materials in any way that suits your taste but CTMH has some images of what you can create with it all as well. The reason for including an archival black ink pad is so you can color the images in with markers and have minimal bleeding of the black with your colors, which can happen when using a regular dye-based black ink pad. Here are the pictures from the kit I just received.
Would you like to come over and create some kindness cards with me? I will have an all day Cardmaking Day on Saturday, Sept. 17, at my house, starting at 10 am until 7 pm. I will have a Card Buffet set up, with a variety of cards to make for you to choose from. You can make 2 cards for free and if you want to make more than that they are just $2 for every extra card you make. Feel free to drop by any time that day, RSVP is not required but if you can give me aheads up that would be nice. You can text or call me at (321)428-1386.
To finish off, let’s enjoy Glenn Campbell’s song, shall we?

Making memories with you,
Hi, everyone! I’ve been out of touch in the blogosphere but keeping in touch via Instagram and Facebook. I can post a picture or quick video there easily but I will reserve the blog for longer posts. Hope you will follow me here and there as well – I’ll post the links at the bottom.
While I was on vacation we went to Hobby Lobby – love that store!! But have you walked down their paper aisle? It’s overwhelming! It’s a feast for the eyes but I find it hard to mix and match for a project. That’s one of the reasons I love working with Close To My Heart. Colors and patterns are matched ahead of time and they provide the how-to to make gifts, pages, cards, with all kinds of styles from the same paper pack! Here’s their blog post from this week explaining a bit of their approach to matching colors:
One thing we are most proud of is the way our color palette makes color coordination effortless. Essential crafting supplies like cardstock and inks are available in all of our exclusive colors, which are the same colors used in patterned papers and many accessories.
This year, we’ve introduced a new color that we’re calling our Color of the Year. Like our other colors, this trendy, minty hue called Sea Glass comes in a stamp pad (coming soon!), mini pigment pad, re-inker (coming soon!), cardstock, and glitter paper. You’ll also see hints of Sea Glass in different patterned papers, embellishments, and other products throughout the year.
I am telling you this new color, Sea Glass, is simply beautiful and coordinates so well with so many styles and other colors. Read more at the CTMH blog … Color Coordination Made Easy
