Studio J for more than a scrapbook page …

Studio J is the digital scrapbooking tool from Close To My Heart.  Recently I have discovered how it can be used for so much more than to print your scrapbook page!  Here’s something real quick I  made today so I thought I’d share it with you to demonstrate what I found.

We tend to think of scrapbooking in the traditional 12×12 pages and then place them in the clear plastic sleeves of your album. A trend that has gained more momentum recently has been using sleeves in a 12×12″ size but with pockets that hold our 4×6 pictures.  Pocket pages are a fast, simple and easy way to capture your memories.  But we want the pages to be dressed up, too, right? Well, Close To My Heart has designed a program called “Picture My Life” (PML) that matches our traditional paper products by making matching cards that are already made with designs. Now these cute PML and similar product projects are popping up everywhere.

The Giggles and Grin paper (great for your Disney memories) is retired but you can still find it in Studio J ( that’s just really neat!).  But there are no matching embellishments or PML cards so what can we do? well, create our own, of course!  Look what I did … using Studio J’s library of matching products I was able to create a 2 pages to have my own embellishments for a traditional scrapbook page PLUS some PML cards that go with the paper!

There are 4×6 cards and 12×1 borders and other embellishments which I would cut out and use however I needed.  For the $6.95 price of 2 Studio J papers I have now created stickers and cards and borders for a paper that I love but is unavailable – how neat is that!  I’d love to know what you think of my creation so leave me a comment or an email, ok?

Making memories with you,
